Are there Outfitters around Texas that run Rattler Hunts? If so who would you recommend and where are they at? What would be the going rate for a hunt?

I love hunting rattlers. We go up in Oklahoma because they've got bigger snakes than what we've got around here. I don't know of anybody that offers regular snake hunts though. You can probably go to one of the bigger rattlesnake round ups and go out on a hunt though. The biggest one in Texas is the Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup and you can sign up to go on a hunt for $65. I've never done that so I don't know how good it is or how many snakes you catch on average. http://www.rattlesnakeroundup.net/

I grew up around Sweetwater and the roundup is a lot of fun. Musky if your ever planning a trip to our part of the world let me know. I do guided varmint hunts, but I know where plenty of rattle bugs are!
Be humble and take nothing for granted!

Thanks for the invite Mappur 15 may take you up on that offer sometime. What do you charge for varmint hunts?
I just think it would be neat to shoot a big old snake. When I am sitting in that old folks home it is something I could say I did.
