We got a call from a landowner that the hogs were back in his place. SO we loaded up the dogs sunday morning and took a trip out there. Drop the dogs about 8. In about 30 minutes my cur dog luanne started baying. We heard a good tussle going on about 150 yards off, so we cut the catch dog loose. We had to push through some really thick stuff to get to them. Two dogs came out bleeding pretty bad, so I started working on them while my buddy went in to try to stick it. The catchdog was so worn out that he had backed off and stood on the trail. We were able to get a shot off through the thick brush. Hit the hog in the leg and the dogs were able to push it out the trail the catch dog was sitting on. We watched this monster come rolling out of the trail and the catch dog met it head on. I was able to get around it and leg it. Then we were able to dispatch him. Rough day on the dogs. Two of mine got cut good and two of my buddys got it as well. He Lost a really good one to on this boar. RIP Bullet. This boar had not been seen on this place from what we were told and we didn't even break into the big pack thats running on it.

Yep I gotta agree, none of the fellas in the pic would fess up to weighing 300+lbs and they look bigger than the hog to me.

I was actually shooting closer to low 200's. Still a nice hog and really sucks your buddy lost a dog to it.

Thanks guys. I know folks say this but the photos don't do it justice. We have killed 200-250 lb boars. This was definitely bigger. Anyway. It doesn't matter. It was a nice boar. Just thought I'd share some pics.
