The guy that has been getting the goats off of our lease said he saw a couple of bears last month. This past weekend my buddy took a picture of one. This is near Comstock, Texas.

Very cool. There was a picture floating around here a few weeks ago that showed a cub that had been hit along the highway. Someone said it was taken near Comstock.

Where near Comstock? Can you name the ranch? It is the Tardy Ranch. I used to buy feed from you sometimes when I hunted in Pumpville with Mike.

That's a cool looking little cub. If you have a water source you should see him there early day/night, and he looks too young to be solo. Should still be hanging out with his mama.

Ch. 7 here in Odessa did a story on bears... One of the girls went down to that area and they ended up finding tracks and then finding a bear....
They are definitely moving in the area more and more....
Time is not wasted if you spend it with the ones you love.

Black bears are also moving farther south into North Texas! and the population is steadily growing in East & South East Texas as well. A buddy of mine last deer season watched a HUGE black bear wade & swim across the red river north of Paris Texas!
