Actually, my guess is that most of the time they're that brazen. They usually just steal the camera as well, so you don't see it. Obviously didn't see this one, because there's no way they'd have left it.

I am betting the GW will like the pics.

It's easy to talk about a violent or deadly reaction on the internet but likely not all that fun to be a defendant in court faced with a murder charge.

I am in Afghanistan right now - they deal with people who setal and poach in a very strict way. I would say in this case I support their way of justice.

These guys are idiots and the slime of the earth. They should be caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. No more, no less.

Now all you guys suggesting they get more than what the law provides for need to knock it off. If you'd like a more severe penalty as it seems for some of you, being hanged, drawn and quartered is too good for theses bozos, call your rep and use your vote to get what you want.

Very simple operation game thief and the local law for trespassing as well. They will get them for much more than hunting out of season.

This bothers me to no end. If you had just filled the feeder for the 1st time 2 weeks ago, they have been watching close. I also have problems with poachers. I work lots of odd hours because I run a steakhouse in a very small town, but too many people know my schedule. It has been reported to me that some locals drive by my work place to be sure I am there and then go poach on my property. Definitely turn these over to the GW, and hope they take action. Please keep us updated.

I think it was very well planned, if you notice both are on cell phones immediately after the kill. There are more than 2 involved in this scheme.

You might wanna consider locking up your camera with a security box if you don't already have one and maybe also put one up to watch your entrance gate(s) to see if you can get a license plate or vehicle description. Good luck. I would be pissed if this was going on at my place. Hope the GW's catch them!

i had some game camera pics of a guy crossing my land during huntin season and took the pics to one of my local sheriff buddies, he said he knew the guy and was sure he would be talking to him real soon and that was for just walking where he had no business bein.. sure nuff he calls me back 2 wks later and said they had the guy in on some other stuff and they jacked him up pretty good over the pics of him on my property.. anyway the morale is these guys are prolly known by the local sherriffs offc and they would love to get the ball rollin for you, i assure you.. find you a local guy who likes to hunt and show him these pics and he'll know a deputy who would love to show these pics around

Even "starving" is not an excuse for poaching. Even the smallest town has charitable organizations giving food away. When I look at any poaching pics that are posted (here and otherwise) I see reasonably well fed individuals with hundreds to thousands of dollars of equipment (rifle, scope, cell phone, cooler, knives, etc.) committing a criminal act.

I would swear that was staged it was so bold - bringing a freakin cooler???? Those &^%$%$ need to be strung up by their balls and whipped to death. Makes me sick and furious. So sorry you had to go through this. Glad your cam caught good pics and glad you had it in a discreet loaction - loks like one of them was looking right at it. I just cant get over this.
