5 Gallon bucket with 2 Gallons of milk, 3 jars of GRAPE koolade powder (makes 8 quarts each), and about 20 pounds of corn. Put the lid on and placed in my hot garage. When i made this up last week i also made up a 5 gallon bucket with 2 Gallons of diesel and 20 pounds of corn. I put both mixtures in the same area and within 2 hours i had 15 pigs in front of me. Good luck!

I have basically the same mixture. 20 lbs of corn, 2 gallons of milk and 3 grape koolaid canisters. Only difference in mine is I put 3 beers in mine as well. Normally I wouldn't waste perfectly good beer but its from the father in laws last visit. He drinks some nasty stuff. Going hunting this weekend so if it works I'll post some pics.

they are exactly right, I use the fruitiest stuff i can come up with. Had great luck with the grape mix and about the same luck with cherry mix. Corn and diesel didnt work out so well for me but i have heard of many people using it.

Instead of the kool-aid, you could also use jello mix. Cheaper, and a little more potent.

another question, when you had them coming in around 2 hours, is this in the middle of the day, dusk, dawn?
I really want to shoot some pigs, just dont have the $$$ right now for the proper night vision, spotlights.
so would yo suggest i put out the mixture at dawn and wait it out, or put out midday and set up at dusk....

There are a lot of things to factor... Where are you hunting? Near unharvested crops? (Makes it very difficult to bait an area if not harvested, plenty of food for them to destroy). Since the weather is extremely hot, they tend to not move a lot. They'll hit ponds, but with the drought, they might try to find a permanent water source like a river. Hogs cool off by pools of water, they don't sweat like humans. So, when it's hot and dry, they tend to roam their paths at night, mostly early early morning (2 to 4 am type of time frame). During the summer, you can get an earlier hunt if you had some rain that day. It's cooler through out the day and more areas for them to refresh themselves. So, they will roam earlier and longer after a rain. With all that being said, if you have an area of land you hunt. Go out and look for trails and hog tracks. If it rain the day before, you'll be better off with this. You'll be able to see their tracks and can maybe bait that area. I prefer using pig pipes. You can do all the Beer, Koolaid, fruits, etc; which they will stop to eat, but a pig pipe, they have to work for it and keeps them there for a longer periods of time. Key thing is to remember these creatures are smart and have an excellent sense of smell. If you bait an area, try to stay away from being upwind. They spook real easy. As for lights: Couple of things on this. You can buy LED lights (red or amber) and leave the area dimly lit up all night. Allows you to see movement... As for a rifle or spot lights, I've used red for awhile, but I discovered the Green Lights are generally brighter and does not spook the hogs. I've heard others with red lights have spooked the hogs off once you hit them with spotlight. Feel free to message me if you want info. on where I purchased my lights. (Don't want to upset if or any sponsors on this forum). Good luck and be safe... My Edit: The information above is based on my personal experience, sharing what has worked for me.

As far as lights go.. I've used red and it works well I havent used green as of yet. Right now I'm using blue LED lights and they dont spook the hogs. I can see real good with the scope at a 100 yards.

I used Salter's tips but skipped the milk.
5 Gallon bucket + Lid: ~$4 1 "Makes 8qt" Fruit Punch Walmart Brand Mix: ~2 3 Packets of Yeast ~1 20# Corn ~4 Water
I let it sit 2 days before I used it. I did release the pressure every so often in the bucket.
Poured a trail from the tank to the feeder today with most of it on the feeder. Damn bull comes over and eats the bigger pile by the feeder then walks off. Sun sets and my spot didn't allow for me to see the trail. Before I decide to leave, go to check the baited area and BAM fresh hog poop.
Oh well, next time will be fun and now I know this works.

Thanks for the tips on the baits. The sweet mixture seems to be popular....I've also heard of some folks using jelly but that gets expensive compared to other methods.
Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it illegal for sober people to own cars.

I stopped mixing and just use regular corn. On my place it works just as good as the stuff i was mixing. I also used Hog Wild and Piggout. Nothing really seems to work any better then plain old corn. I run my corn feeder all year so i can shoot hogs in the off season so that may have a lot to do with it.
