Can anyone tell me a good feed store that is open on Saturday in Junction or Sonora? Preferably Sonora because it’s a little closer. Thanks!

There's a place called Rafter W up in either Sonora or Ozona that might be good for ya. I've never heard anything bad about them.

Rafter W is in Sonora and that's where we get all our feed. Good folks.

I buy most of my feed from them. The woolhouse has better alfalfa sometimes.

You can also stop at Simon Brother's Mercantile in Roosevelt.
They are located about 40 miles east of Sonora.

Right behind Rafter W.

Turn like you are going to Del Rio and make the first left.

I love the mule deer mounts in Simon Bros. In fact, you will see Virginia Reick and I walking around in their store on next week's episode. Everything has a pretty heavy coat of dust and they make a mean hamburger in the cafe in the back.
Adios,
Gary

I made it by the Woolhouse Friday and picked up 3 bales. It was quality hay with small steams. Was probably first cutting. Price was a few cents cheeper than here in East Texas. Corn was even cheeper than localy not much but a quarter is a quarter in my pocket.

Feed stores in both Junction and Sonora close at noon on Saturdays, Simon Bros. is open until 5 on Saturdays.

Sounds like you hunt around Baker Rd, we hunted that area last year and went to Simon Bros. for our feed. They have a good hamburger too.

Rafter W closes at 3 on Saturdays but if you call ahead and tell them what you need they will leave it on the dock for you.I have done this several times without a problem, but they dont always have the same kind of protein I have found , but good folks none the less.

Don't know where Baker rd is but I hunt down Caverns rd or Old juno rd. Man is it dry down there. Axis and audads appear to be holding up rather well but it is begining to take it's toll on Whitetail, seeing lots of ribs and hardly any fawns.
