Let's trade. All we have is mule deer does. We see about 10-15 does for every buck.

Your best bet is to get on a MLD program work hand in hand with TPWD to manage your herd. Might have to get some extra folks out there to shoot some deer if the biologist says more need to be harvested.
What county is your lease in?

MLD is your best bet, gives you the opportunity to thin the herd legally and lets you have that second chance if you shoot the big one that turned out to be smaller than the one you'll see tomorrow. Talk to your TPWD biologist and have him get a census and sign you up. If you get the permits, talk to the landlord about offering a management youth hunt with the Texas Youth Hunter Association or something similar. Rewarding for everyone!

What county is your lease in? not a lease it my moms farm, its in childress/cottle counties, its about 465 acres, and theres a canyon they bed in during the day and come out at night to feed, according to my brother the does are about 1/3 of the herd the other 2/3rds are bucks, we took four last rifle season, my brothers three friends shot one each along with him, he said he saw some masive bucks and we rarely see a big one thwere anymore and its not like it used to be where you could literally drive within thirty feet of the herd and drop one someone has been tresspassing and killing animals on our land due to no fence, the warden knows and has yet to catch anybody be we've had people turn off and break our feeders i'm eager to put some trail cams out to see if i can catch them in the act, but nobody reaspects the boundaries up there and hunts where the hell they feel like it, i think more wardens should be assigned out there to end that bs, but i'm not joking about the herd, we have way more bucks then does, but i'm geussing we need to call the warden about both the tresspassing even though they already know, and ask about the herd

You better wait until October to see if you have that those numbers. Bucks normally hang together during the summer. In the fall they may be at your neighbors and not at yours.
