Alright im going to make this kinda short and sweet. A buddy and I have 250acres that we are allowed to hunt. The property is near Bonham. The guy that owns the property has seen plenty of hogs, yotes, bobcats etc... Weve been out there once in the spring and we saw a few game tracks & signs of game.So we found a good source of water on the property found plenty of what looked semi fresh wallows and tracks we put up a feeder about 30-40 yards from the pond w reg corn in it then we also got some pigout and put that in some of the wallows and around feeder its been almost 2wks and we havent seen anything on our game camera. What do yall think or recommend and info would be great thanks

If they haven't been pressured, you can setup your feeder to go off when you want to. They'll be there if they've found the source.

Setup a trail cam by the feeder and see what time they are coming through or train 'em for a week or two to come in at a certain time.

Yeah, my morning hunt yesterday was a bust. Sticking to night only hunts till this heat goes away.

Has nothing to do with the heat - they still gotta eat.

Once they find a steady food supply they will hit it routinely - maybe not nightly but routinely.

Feeder may be too close to the pond - you might consider moving that...

Just keep a watch on that trail cam and keep a couple feeders going - once they learn the corn is there and when they will start showing up on the cameras on a pattern.

Another good trick - get one of the plastic 55 gallon drums. drill 6-10 1/2" holes in it and anchor it down to the ground.

They will find the corn and sit there and roll that barrel over and over to get that corn out - as you role it only a very small amount of corn should come out - you want to make them work for it hard. This type of "feeder" is really only good for hogs so not alot of people use them.

start running corn trails from way out to the feeder. all over, even hand feed wheres theres tracks. they will find it easier.

If you have a feeder set up next to a pond, and you don't have any pics of hogs day or night, then the hogs have already left the building. Just a matter of "when" they will be back!!

I had the same thing happen to me on a new property. I took 3 bags of corn and spread it on the waterline of the pond. Within a week I had corn shoots pushing up. When the pigs went to water they two food sources (cleaned corn& corn shoots), now they wallow in the pond and stay on the feeder for almost 2 hrs every other night.
I've tried cool-aid mix, sour corn mix, diesel corn mix and nothing has worked as well as fresh crop. Best of luck!
