I bought a Marlin .17hmr last December and I absolutely love this gun. I had my first kill with it on the opening morning of bow season. Even when bow hunting, I always carry a gun to the stand with me. About 8am that morning, a grey fox trotted out about 60 yds from me. I knew I couldnt take the shot with my bow so I decided to use the ol .17. WOW! Made me love the gun even more. So my question is... What is everyone's opinion of the .17hmr?

don't let a game warden catch you doin that, you will get a ticket, and if you have a deer down, possibly go to jail.

as far as the round goes, i think its the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I can drive nails with my Marlin as well. I do agree with the problems with the clip. I read somewhere that Marlin makes a 4 round clip that is flush with the stock. I have been looking for 1 but can not find one anywhere. I love it. It is fast and hits small game hard.
