Has any one ever been bear hunting in Arkansas? I have never thought about it until it was brought up to me this week and am interested to see if any of you have any information about it.
If some animals are good at hunting and others are suitable for hunting, then the Gods must clearly smile on hunting.

To be successful in Arkansas you probably have to be on private land. There are good numbers of bears in a couple of areas in Ar. My father lives in north east Ar and has bear on his land. You can bait bears but only 30 days before the season starts. The bear season is on a quota basis. It starts in the beginning of archery and normally last 2-4 weeks at most. You have to call in to the game and fish each morning to see if the season is still going. In my dads zone there is an early muzzleloader season also that the bear season should make it to. I know one person with a lease in southern Ar that killed a bear last year. I google AR bear hunting and also found one outfitter that offers bear hunts.
