Ok this questions is for those who hunt axis with archery equipment on a regular basis. I am going after a mature buck and need to choose what broad head I will be using.
I know the axis vitals are more forward than whitetail so I will be shooting them more in the shoulder if broadside. Obviously quartering away and tucking it in behind the shoulder angling up in the chest cavity is ideal but who knows if that shot will present itself.
With that said should I use
1. Rage 2 blade 100gr. 2. Nap bloodrunner 2 blade 100gr. 3. Slick Trick Mag 100gr.
Thanks for the feedback.

I have seen all three of those all work and fail on many different hunts. There is no magical broadhead that will perform to your expectations every single time regardless of shot placement. Just not gonna happen. I say, shoot some of each and see what flies in your bow best and is more consistantly accurate.
But what I can tell you from my experience, the bigger the hole you can make, the better on axis and make sure you give them plenty of time to die, regardless of where you think or you feel you know you hit them.
I personally don't prefer a two blade broadhead but I dont' like the Slick Trick either. The chisel point is OK, but I like a razor sharp tip on my broadhead. It's just a preference. The rage broadhead has seemed to perform well from what I have seen on various ranges on axis deer and other animals comparable in size, on good broadside shots. Although on quartering shots I feel I have seen it slide under the skin and on top of the rib cage instead of breaking the bone and penetrating through. This I compare to very similar shots I have seen taken with various fixed blades where that did not happen. So waiting for a good broadside shot with the rage 2 blade would be ideal I would think and I wouldn't have a thought to not use it on a broadside shot. The NAP bloodrunner 2 blade I'm afraid I have not seen yet.

Shot placement is everything. The best broad head in the world will not make up for a bad shot. Any of those broad heads you listed will do the job.
