If you keep good strings on them and treat them nice will they last 10 years or more or can the past parallel limbs not take the abuse and its only a matter of time so I must upgrade next year?

Think people upgrade due to new technology that gives better draw cycles and speed not so much due to durability IMO
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, b/c they know not victory nor defeat"- #26 TR

depends on whos askin. My friends or my wife lol. I think theyl last 10 years with the proper care. But do i want to be shooting the same bow in 10 years hell no. The technology is growing so quickly that really aftter a month or so of owning a new bow its old technology.

I am shooting an 8 year old bowtech. I think it will continue to be a good bow but I am getting the itch for a new one. Not sure if I will pull the trigger for a new bow this season or wait and catch a good deal on the 11's after the first of the year. The only way to keep up with the technology and advancements is to land a pro-staff position. I no longer enjoy firearm hunting although I will pull one out to grab some quick venison late in the season.

I still have the bow my dad bought me when I was 10 and I still shoot it on occasion. So the bow is over 27 years old. I have kept it in good shape and put new strings on it when it needed them. The. Technoligy is awful on it but theres no doubt in my mind I could take it out and shoot something with it. With proper care they will last a long time. Much longer than I care to shoot one.

When I was in Colorado on an elk hunt last year a guy came into came with probably a 20 year old Jennings bow. He was looking for a pack horse to pack out his bull he killed. It even had the old school three pin box sight. Apparently it work pretty well.

They got the job done back then so theres no reason why they still wont do it today. Kinda like my old 79 Chevy truck. Back in the day it was top of the line. Technoligy has changed a ton since then and trucks are more effecient, more cosmetically appealing and more comfortable. But my 79 still gets the job done.
