We are located 35 miles below Abilene. 660 acres, 180 acres currently in unharvested wheat that 50-100+ hogs enjoy every night. The rest of the pasture is heavy cover.
Tent camping and travel trailers welcome. ATV's welcome. Electricity and water at camp with stand-up freezer available. There is old travel trailer that sleeps 4, mini fridge, and cold AC.
Lots of bobcats and coyotes that haven't been called to for those that love the varmits.
$50.oo a day per person, no other fees
We are located below the wind generators with dead spots for cell phone service.
If we don't answer, leave a message and we'll call you back, as we have to move around for good signal on most days.
325-660-1762
Look forward to hearing from you, Hookem Matt

Located about 32 miles from Ballinger 16 miles from Winters. We are off of FM 1086, county rd 184. Will try to post some pictures.
One of the prime times to hunt is when the moon is waxing, 1/2 to full. Hogs have gone nocturnal with the 19 days of 100+ degree temps we had in June.

If you have any room for a bit of Hog hunting, I'm on vacation all this week. I'd love to come up and shoot some pigs! PM me some info and if you have any openings. Thanks!

Is the 50 bucks for one hog or a whole day of hunting?

Drop Tine,
Thank you for posting the pictures. Give me a call, you earned yourself a free day of hunting, again, just another example of how THF'ers go out of their way to help others, Thanks Matt
Unlimited hogs and varmits for $50.oo a day.
Since the heat wave is on, the majority of hogs appear to be coming in on our northern fence lines via the bottoms and flat lands. We have blinds we used for deer hunting that favor the north winds. Unfortunately, primary winds are S-SE which gets you winded or spooks the hogs before they come out good.
Last night, we glassed a couple of groups before the 1/4 moon set prior to midnight. Full moon is the 15th and night stalking is too easy using the moonlight with binoculars. The waxing moon makes for easy bowshots as well. By 2:30, we had encountered 5 nice groups in several areas.
We try to stay out of the washes/dry creeks as to not spook off any resident hogs. Chris and I sweep the fence crawl spots regularly to monitor the signs/tracks on the perimeter fencing. Tons of sign at just about every hole in the fence.
The watering hole below the windmill is the hog mudhole that most will venture to during some part of the night.
I think we booked a THF member for this weekend, Fri or Sat, hope to have his results upcoming.

I went out to Matt's Place last Friday (7/8/11), Matt was very knowledgable about stalking and hunting the hogs on his place. Me and my brother were able to kill two good size boars at about midnight. We saw another larger group later that night and heard many more. Matt was very helpful when it came to gutting and skinning the hogs. After the hogs were skinned he provided storage for the rest of the night and supplied us with ice blocks when it came time to leave. Overall Matt was very helpful and accommodating, we had a successful hunt and a fun, eventful night. We were very satisfied with the hunt. Thanks Matt!
I will post pics!

I get alot of PM's on the forum, unfortunately, I'm online maybe once to twice every two weeks. Best way to book with us is give us a call. 325-660-1762
I mentioned the dead spots we have below the wind generators for phone service. Crafty Dingo and his brother both have different services, AT&T and Sprint, and encountered the same problems that we have on most days.
Phone rings, but can't get enough of a good signal inside, so we have to walk a short distance to return the call most days.
