Is the diamondback pistol a good quality pistol for the price? Never heard of them before last week, until reading my newest Rifleman magazine, so any helpful information is deeply apreceiated!!!

Go to the Diamondback owners forum & check there. I know their .380's were hit & miss on reliability, w/the newer serial #'s being better. You can get alot more feedback over there than here on this particular gun.

BTW, Welcome to the forum!

I wouldn't. We ordered one for a customer against our advice and he had nothing but problems out of it, he sent it in for repair 3 times and they finally replaced it. The second one was even worse, the last time he was in he said it just sits on his desk as a paperweight.

Wasn't that the DB.380? He's asking about their 9mm.

Yeah but it goes to show what kind of manufacture your dealing with. Every person I know who purchased a diamondback regretted it old version and new version.

I had the .380. After a little filing here & there, which I know you shouldn't have to do on a new gun, it shot flawlessly. You can find out real quick on that forum if the 9's are having problems or not. More than likely they are but honestly IDK.

Yeah I would definitely recommend a lot of searching for reviews, as they could have changed the way the manufacture and conduct business but most company because there run by people don't change unless those people are gone.

Im carrying a DB9 now and it shoots accurately and no FTF or anything. I had a DB380 and they were very hit and miss. Their the type of guns you have to put lots of rounds down range to get it shooting right. I like the DB9 it shot great for me and no problems!!!
