Does the "AH" matter for a 12 volt battery you connect to game cam?

I am fixing to buy 12 volt batteries to use externally on game cams. However I am noticing they come in different "ah" ratings. I know the 12 volts I use in feeders are 7.0ah or 7.2. I also know the higher the "ah" the more expensive. Will 7.0 or 8.0 work fine?

AmpHours are a measurement of how long the battery will last. 7.0 ah will use one amp/hour for 7 hours, or any combination, .5 amps for 14 hours, etc. The higher the amp/hour rating the longer the battery will last. For your purposes either the 7.0, 7.2 or 8.0 will work fine. The 8.0 lasting longer.
Good Hunting, Gary
