Mine would be a Ruger #1 in 257 Weatherby. i looked, but they didn't make one. could you make one from a 25-06? Yes, but if you reload, a 25/06 AI would be cheaper and close enough for gov'mint work.

I have a Weatherby Vanguard and it is very accurate. I would check out the series 2 Vangaurd's that just came out in .257 Wby Mag and try and mind a really nice used scope with the rest of the money. They guarantee sub MOA out of the box
