anyone know or heard of any home made or unconvientonal attractants? I've heard strawberry instant koolaid and rice bran, any others?
the man at the top of the mountain didn't fall up it

Molasses peanut butter and corn. If you want to do the work you can find a candy recipe with molasses and play with it so that you can add the corn and peanut butter to it and it will caramelize. I had a friend that used to make them in 3" square blocks, they were killers for attracting deer. A lot of work and I never did learn his method, kind of regret it now, but I remember it as being a mess in the kitchen. When he died so did the recipe. He would put them out the night before he hunted, in the morning you could hear the deer crunching on the "candy" while you were waiting for sun up.

That is where you go to the Goodwill store and buy your own blender. Clean up is real easy, water hose and store it away from the kitchen for next year.

I went across town to the little school, McMurry, did take one course on the 40 acres. Been here in Abilene since the 70s.

My dad told me about a guy who used to trap hogs with strawberry jello, said they would line up outside the trap! I should have boght stock after I hearrd that cuz I put out all kinds of jello...nothin!

well i bought some molases and some penutbutter, not sure how i'm going to apply them yet, but i'm thinging if doing a mixture of both in one setting and then seperating the two maybe just molases in another

tommorow i will take to deer camp, c'mere deer, corn, molases, rice bran, penut butter, estrus doe, and a sack full of acorns i picked up...i didnt buy the c'mere deer, my dad did, so i think i've spent maybe 20 bucks on the various items, will let all know what i find works in menard county, opening weekend, will return wedsday...hope i can sleep
