I ordered it in March. Been waiting 3 months and the last 3 days will be the worse. Should be at my house Friday afternoon.

To the Savage haters; I'm putting a Savage model 10 .308 barreled action in the stock. There's nothing wrong with the quality of the Accustock. I just feel the A5 is more ergonomic for me.

I'll post before and after pics Saturday

That, I don't know. I replaced my Savage DBM with CDI bottom metal. Call McMillan and ask. The folks working there have been very polite and have provided good customer service.

Once you lay hands on that McMillan you'll know that the wait and the money were both worth it.

Yours is a LEFTY right? Could that cause a longer delay also?

How long did it take CDI to ship your BM Fireman?

No, that's just how the turn around time is for ANY custom stock from them.

I've shot a rifle wearing an A5 and had to have one.

I won the BM at a rifle match, but what I had in hand was stagger feed. I called Jeff and he told me he'd swap me for center feed. I think from the time I sent it, it was 3 weeks by the time I got the center feed style back to the house.

Wow, pretty cool. He quaoted me 3 weeks for my BM, turned out to be slightly over 5 weeks. Looks top notch though. Just waiting for the stock to come in to really try it out.

you certainly get spoiled to good stocks
I have a Manners MCS-T on my 308 (LTR)

I am toying with adding a 25-06 to the fleet and the stock is definitely something I take strongly into consideration

Manners is a quality stock for sure. I bet Manners and Mcmillan are equal in quality. It was only about $30 more for the Mcmillan and about the same turn-around time, so that's why I went with them.

Pretty cool when a stock shows up to the house and my last name and first initial are engraved on the inside of the forearm, along with a spec sheet attached to the side of the stock. However "left" and "LH" were highlighted on the sheet in two places. Pretty funny, they'd save a little confusion if they'd just put "special needs shooter" engraved in the forearm as well.

Pics coming soon!
