Hey guys, just to kill some time and hopefully make a buck, I've been building a heavy duty ground blind, anticipating selling it for this coming season. These are the only pic's I can find right now, the blind is about half way completed. It's weight got to be so much, that I had to put temporary castor wheels under it to move it around while working on it. Now for the question on thoughts. I came across a boat trailer awhile back that had been converted to a flat bed trailer. It is 6' wide and 12' long. Which do you guys feel would be more likely to sell easily, the blind alone or if I mount the blind on the forward portion of the trailer leaving enough room on the rear of the trailer for a 4 wheeler, camping gear or whatever ? The steel framed 5' x 5' blind will be completed with 4 sliding aluminum framed windows, full size door, carpeting and insulated, painted, metal roof, office chair, Mr. Buddy propane heater & bottle with 12' hose. It's not just thrown together, precision fits, cuts and welding.

Looks good, but how high are the windows? I would go to TSC and buy an axle, spring, tires, wheels, hitch, jacks etc and build my own trailer.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

Make it removeable so the buyer gets both a blind and a trailer. Secure it with small rachet straps.
Put two 4x4 Trex material "sleds" underneath it to help with the loading and unloading with a winch or come along. It'll also keep the steel out of the water if you don't put it in a low spot.
And don't paint the tin roof. Painting tin roofs defeats the purpose of having a tin roof. Let the tin do it's job.

Everything looks good for making a decent ammount of money until people see the OSB board. I wouldn't pay more tha $400 for any blind made out of OSB. Shame you have a nice set up, going cheap on the wood defeats the purpose though.

t/c hunter, got them at Lowe's. They are aluminum framed windows sold for mobile homes. The downside is the expense, but I was tired of having water leaks all the time from around any other kind of designed windows I've used over the years and soggy carpet inside the blind. They were $49 each, but as I get older, comfort is more important than spending a few extra hours at work to pay for some luxury in the long run.

What is you base material? angle or square tube? What size?
I started a blind 5' x 7' using 1" square tube for my base, have not put the plywood floor down yet. It has a little give when I step on it, hope this goes away when the floor is installed.

To Chuck McDonald: I already have over $300 dollars in materials in my blind and haven't bought the outter skin (plywood or tin),paint, carpet, insulation,or windows. So $400 dollars is a pretty good deal.
