I have a Eotech 552 on my AR15 for hog hunting and it works great!! My shots are mostly under 100 yards and nearer 50-75 as well.

Eotech for sure in my opinion. Get a NV compatible version if you think you will ever use NV. Eotechs are the best for nightvision, the field of view in insane.

Might also check into a 1-4 scope. Primary Armsa and Millett have one with lit reicles under $200. Gives you the heads up display of a red dot with 4 power to reach out a little further !

I prefer Aimpoint over the Eotech hands down. I have not run the XPS but I hear they are better. I have a slight astigmatism that makes the Eotech reticle fuzzy looking. I have also had issues 512 Eotechs. It would not hold zero and it would lose battery contact and just turn off. They are also power hungry with a short battery life. I now run Aimpoint exclusively. Great battery life, more durable and just all around better IMO. If I ran NV gear I would probably get an Eotech though.

What Old Town said. Eotechs are quick, but NOT durable.
I've run Aimpoints for years in the worst conditions you will never face and they held up well.
