17' Xpress with a 60hp Evinrude E-tech tiller, works great for both Duck hutning and fishing.

This little jewel, if I can ever finish it.......College expense has it's foot on mt throat right now and showing no signs of letting up. My oldest is heading for Louisiana Tech to pursue a mechanical engineering degree..
I am about to try and make a career change soon as well @ age 50 that ought to be interesting...I've been an industrial mechanic for 30 years and my body is starting to let me know it's had all of that it can stand...
With all this going on I still hope to get this thing at least painted, trolling motor installed, running lights and tags so I can use it opening morning.....

Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

got a new beavertail final attack and im dyin to try it out. im hoping the 55lb thrust minn kota pushes it fast enough. im still tryin to figure out a good method of attaching a lot of raffia and or natural veggitation and still keep a low profile in the water.

I have 3. All can be and have been used for both duck hunting and fishing. In order of preference:

1) 1648 War Eagle LDV w/ 25hp Merc 2-stroke

2) 12' Ocean Kayak Angler

3) 16' fiberglass canoe w/ 30# trolling motor

Going to have it going before next weekends trip to Caddo taking all the nieces and nephews blue gill fishing. May run a few lines. Hopefully a gator dont get on the line. eek2

I hear ya....they can be very annoying. I pretty much only use it at the coast. Would be impossible to hunt some of the areas down there without it though.
