We have a breech loading long gun, circa 1870, that we are trying to get info on.

Do any of you know, and would recommend, an expert on antique guns in the DFW area

Snider conversion yes, but not British. It's French. It is a Zulu Snider. Shotgun conversion probably. I noticed the name of the picture included civilwar. Not a Civil War Weapon.
