Has anyone used roasted soy beans in a feeder in a areayhat does not grow soy beans? Did it work?

Never used them, personally, but I like the idea. It would be super if we could collectively put enough of a dent in the availability of soybeans so as to cause a surge in their price, thus making soy "foods" more expensive for the people who worship lettuce. Oh the irony of it all! Us taking their food and using it to kill the animals they're piously trying to save  One can dream I suppose...

I use a corn roasted soybean mix in my feeders called horn corn. There are for sure no soybeans in our area but the deer love them..

We tried a corn soybean last year and they dang deer picked out the soybeans and left the corn alone. Great plan you wont be disapointed.
Aim small miss small or loose diner, and the wife gives you a divorce while you are buying the guy's around at the bar for being that guy!!!

Thanks for input. Have another question, were can someone get a bag of soy beans? I found a place online but it is like 35.00 for 13lbs. Do feed stores carry things like that?

Anyone know a good feed store in the Waco/McGregor/Gatesville area that would have that stuff? Check with MICOBE FEED in Gateville or Hamilton. They carry a corn/soybean mix called STAMPEDE. It is great stuff!

I feed roasted soybeans mixed with corn each year from mid-Jan. through Aug. at a rate of 1:3 (soybean to corn) give you a 16% crude protein. If you go with a 1:3, you'll get almost a 20% crude protein. We have used them in Fayette and Gillespie/Kimble counties and they don't grow them there, but I have planted them (viable seed) and the deer went through them like sheep on a green pasture! Sure has improved antler and body mass on the deer for sure, but we've been doing this since 97. Get it in bulk and cheaper at Leupold Grain and Feed in Nada, TX.

$17.50 in LaGrange...probably much cheaper at Leupolds.
