The last few time i have been there it was kinda a 50 50 shot on a good CFS. Calf fries are really good though...Frog legs are not bad at all.
I DON'T MIND YOU MAKING A LITTLE MONEY BUT I'M NOT PAYING FOR YOUR HOUSE.

My neice's husband was a landman around Strawn early in his career and always ate at Flossy's. Thought about eating at "the new place", but never got around to it because how could it be better than Flossy's. After eating at Mary's a couple of years ago, he's never been back to Flossy's but makes a trip or two a month from Fort Worth to Mary's. And he loves EVERYTHING on the menu. I can't bring myself to try the shrimp, but every thing else I've found to be good.

I have been there twice and it was good. Not good enough to have the reputation they have.........but good. Unless I just happen to be staying in the area I wont be back. I feel the same way. It was good, but nothing too special.

Flossys was the bomb for their chicken fried steak plate..when I was out there years ago (used to hunt in DeLeon) they would give you 2 HUGE pieces of cfs..I'd eat one for dinner, save the other for breakfast the next morning. Mary's was good too..I remember when it was the "new" place. We'd eat at either place then go over to the Trio for a couple of drinks before heading in.. or go see Walter over at City Limits.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers
