i wish you the best of luck, just like physical theropy, start slow and small and work your way back up, and don't rush things

rehab the shoulder and start with low poundage and high let off...even if that means buying a new bow. In Texas you can bow hunt with 45lb draw weight and that is plenty for fixed heads and whitetails.

I can tell you from experience, I have 2 bad shoulders and one falls out of socket every few days to weeks but at least 3-4 times a month at minimum!! Lower the weight down to a point you can shoot to where it doesn't hurt at all during the draw cycle or holding it at full draw, and shoot it there for a couple weeks and it will help the muscles around there and after that you should be able to increse it by about a .5 - 1 lb per week to a certain point, but that is if you shoot it at least every other day may take longer if you don't. I know that my left shoulder kills me on a daily basis and I am right handed so my left is on the bow, but I was able to get up to 65 lbs after a while without really any discomfort. I have had my shoulder checked out by a specialist and he recommended to me that I needed a total reconstructive surgery on it.......well thats not happening anytime soon, I have made it the last ten years like it is so I dont want to make it worse at all. Hope this helps !!! God Bless

Don't use icy hot. What that does is heats it up, then cools it, and that area is now numb. Since you cant feel any pain now, you can do some major damage to whatever area it was applied to. Just lower your weight and shoot everyday, even if it is only 10 shots, make it everyday. I know with Hoyt, if you want, you can just order new limbs instead of a new bow.
