Ingredients:
1 pound Jimmy Dean "hot" sausage
2 cups Bisquick
2 cups shredded cheese
1 package Lipton's Onion Soup mix
2 jalapeños; seeded, minced
2 cloves garlic; minced

Brown sausage, onion soup mix, garlic and jalapeños slowly over low heat; and don’t pour off the grease. Put sausage mixture into large mixing bowl and add cheese and stir until cheese is melted and incorporated well into sausage mixture. Add bisquick and mix well. Put mixture into shallow cookie pan and press flat. Bake in 350 degree (F) oven for about 15 minutes or until top starts to turn golden. I prefer to then turn on the broiler and cook until top is a nice dark golden brown; but keep a close eye on them so they don't burn.

Remove pan and let cool, cut into squares and devour! These are called Can't-Stop Sausage Cakes cause when you eat one you can't stop eating all of them!!

same ingredients as sausage balls, just sheet baked...

Very good.

I like the bite-sized sausage balls for breakfast/deer camp snacks...

yeah it's the exact same recipe for the sausage balls but i like doing it this way cause it greatly reduces the amount of time spent making up all them little balls.

make ya up some creamy gravy and dip these in and it is amazing!

I figured out why the edges are gone when I cooked a batch, because they are the best! I found that cutting it up and putting the leftovers in the fridge is workable as long as you heat them up in a toaster oven. The center pieces benefit from toasting anyway.

Just roll them up into balls and bake them. That way every piece is crusty.

i found some biscuit mix that has cheese and garlic in it already but it would never hurt to add more cheese.

Is the copyright really necessary on the picts? Are you concerned someone is going to steal the picts of your food? confused2

not sure which recipe you're looking at but if you do a search for "sausage balls" recipes you'll find that most are at the 1:2 ratio (1 pound of sausage, 2 cups of bisquik)... there is no water at all in any recipe that I've ever tried.... my recipe is as is... follow it to the letter and you'll do alright. don't cook up the sausage too fast cause that's gonna cause too much grease and that throws off the recipe big time. medium & slow and you won't get too much grease (especially if you stick to the recipe and get the Jimmy Dean brand). good luck!
