Took the dogs running at the creek today. Same place I run them twice a week. Lucy torn the pads on all of her feet. Never had this happen before. She has neosporin and gauze on them right now.
What the best treatment?

Poor thing, she'll be fine though, E.M.T. gel is good stuff, I don't go anywhere with dogs without it.

Torn pads are a lot like a cold. Treat them and they'll heal in 2 weeks. Do nothing and it takes 14 days.

rofl That was funny. Poor baby... she looks miserable. Hope she's up and around soon - sounds like you've got it handled.

Bill your probably right.
She did it to all four feet and would whine when she walked. She likes to spin out after using the restroom and did this right before we got back to the truck. That's when she started to limp. Her pads were most likely softened from playing in the creek.
She's going to be mad when I take the other dogs running without her.

Go to TSC get a can of Bag Balm; apply to the feet and you will be amazed at the results. Also keeps the pads soft and pliable. Good luck

Bill is right, but if you have a kid with a cold, you still have to give them something to make them feel better. It's just human nature to want to help a hurting kid.
