A member on this forum sent me this pic today at 5:00. This fire is about 8-20 miles or so north and east of Ranger

Went to check cows in my Stephens county place on 183 half way between Cisco, and Breckenridge, and could see the smoke towards the east. When I headed back to Fort Worth the smoke started around Ranger, and could easily make out at least three large fires, that were almost continuous all the way to Gordon. All looked to be in a line along 180. Close to 20 miles worth of fires.

According to the Breckenridge FD, they are pretty sure someone is starting some of them.

By the way I noticed the brush truck and all of the equipment parked in the department garage there in Ranger. I guess they are holding back to watch the 6. I saw vehicles from at least 10 other departments running up and down 20, and the DPS is out in force. I hope they do catch that SOB. My other family ranch in Mineral Wells had a close one Sunday. It appeared to be a bit south and west of us, and I think they got it under control fairly quickly. These guys are working their butts off.

I would love to be in a position to help, but I can't keep mine in water. All three of my tanks are dry, and I have them on floated 300 gallon tanks from rural water right now. If I had someone close to help ensure the water was full I would have no issue, and love to help. I just cant be sure they would be properly looked after. As of now I am making bi-weekly trips just to be sure. It was 105 on the truck thermometer yesterday whild I was driving T-posts to half a$$ a barrier to protect my float valves.
