There is this high fence area near where I live that has some pretty incredibe whitetais. One happens to be a non typical that would go probaby 175 easy.
Anyway, I went by there today and saw six mature toms stutting under this big oak at about 12:45 PM. I actually stopped and went back twice to look at them. They were enormous. Huge birds. All had long beards and were tall.
I have been lucky enough to kill three toms this spring so no complaints but man would I love to give them boys a scratch or two on my call.
No pics but trust me they were impressive. Actually, went home and told my wife and she and I went back to see them an hour later and they were still there. Just awesome.
