If you could have the dream season. Where would it begin and end, and what types of hunts would it contain?

My start would be early goose in Illinios in september as thats where it started for me.
Then I would head to Manitoba second week of Oct.
Arkansas for the opener there in the flooded timber.
A late Nov. hunt on the platte for GreenHeads.
Back to Texas to hunt our North Texas Lakes for a few weeks.
Then to the coast to end the season with pins and snows.

Hmm, not sure of my dream season yet, since I'm still a newb. But I'm sure it would consist of having my pup getting worn out on retrieves, from ducks to geese. We are both pushing the learning curve to the max...so any chance we get, we'll be there learning together.

Great post

I think I've pretty much lived my dream season...Texas is one of the few places in the U.S. that sees the versatail ducks that the country has to offer. If you've noticed in the TPW migratory bird pamplet the numourous ducks that migrate thru Texas and as far away as Alaska. The only hunt I haven't done is a Sand Hill Crane hunt on the Platt river in Ne. talk about Rib Eye in the sky.

I think I would just have to follow the migration. Canada, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, and finish up in Louisiana.

Yeah I'd love to do an early october waterfowl hunt in Canada but other than that I pretty much can get a good fill here in TX. I'd love to go to SD and go pheasant hunting though.

Can I play. Sounds good to me, throw in a trip to Argentina to begin the season and a mid season hunt in Mexico.

John Wester, you can do a sandhill crane hunt here in Texas, went this weekend to Miller Creek Ranch, and he was showing us how he does them. Neat set up for it. JMO

Those of you who do not stand behind our millitary, please stand in front of it!!!

What, you don't want to let out the big secret about Joe Pool?

Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.

start in Argentina, move to Alberta, then slowly move back south one state at a time.

It's not skybusting, if you make the shot.
