The new Martin Firecat 400 arrived yesterday. I ordered it in black and expected flat black. Imagine my joy when I opened the box to find it is actually carbon-fiber black. What a great look (imo).    Shoots smooth and while I haven't had it on a chrono yet, I can tell it's quick! Tha great guys at Outdoor Pro Shop in Garland helped me get 'er all set up. Now trying to get enough shots through it to complete the string stretching. (Don't believe any of the hype about Martin's new no-twist strings. My peep has rotated @ 100 degrees in 50 shots.) When she settles, I'm going to be real happy with it!

How do you like the new SOS TRG feature? So far, I certainly don't have any complaints. It's supposed to silence the bow & reduce vibration. There's a distinctive, but quiet little "slap" of the string hitting the rubber pad on the SOS, but it's still a heckuva lot quieter than some bows I've heard. That said, I shoot 29"/70# and only shoot a 368 gr. arrow, so no matter what bow I shoot, it's gonna be loud with an arrow that light. The TRG? If it really reduces cam lean & leads to an even quieter bow, I'm a fan. Thanks for everyone looking!
