The report from our leases this past weekend was not good. Birds are apparently under stress from drought conditions and were not responding to calls. Mature birds were hard to find but all the birds were coming to feeders and there were alot of Jakes seen. I don't like to hunt feeders in the spring and would rather just go to the store and pick up a Butterball than blast a turkey at a feeder. Just wondering if there are any other reports from that area. I will be heading out tomorrow night.

its true about the jakes but there are some 3 year plus birds, they are pretty henned up but if you can get in proximity of them and bring in the hens too you will be successful
