Blind is actually Hardi-Board, little heavy but it should last a while. I cut the board within 1/16", assemble and use a grinder to fit. I try to seal everything as tight as possible, hopefully it'll last a little longer. 10-ft tower shouldn't be a problem, just got to be careful because the hardie doesn't give like plywood and will snap with a little pressure, get it up though and you're done. I live a long way from the lease, so I try to do as much as possible at home.
Flash - yes it only takes a couple of hours to whip one of these out. lol

Come on why not. Lease has a 2 mile runway on it. Left over from the 1950's, US Govt built it to land B52's, hell of a sendero.

Windows came from Ideal Aluminum Products in Victoria, already assembled. I shopped around and they had the best price and I'm very pleased with the product. I don't know about the rest out there but the windows are completely removable, frame obviously remains or they slide in either direction. I can look up what I paid if you want it.

i agree on hari, i built our last two blinds out of 4x8 sheets of hardi board. was def a little heavier, and a little harder to work with. but it holds up to the south texas weather MUCH better than plywood. and is not as hot/cold as metal.
