Their are no acorns on any of our trees this year and we just put out 2350 lbs of corn and made all the neccessary repairs over the weekend. It is just a matter of time now.

i hear ya.... i've been feeding 8 protein feeders and 17 corn all year round since January.... you bet i'm ready, too.... they didn't eat much protein, and i haven't filled them since august, but they are coming to the corn at least.... only feeding 3 seconds right now - i'll be going the last weekend of this month to top them all off and turn up to 7 seconds..... maybe a bow hunt will be in order at that time, too...

We have acorns everywhere but the deer are still coming in to the feeders late in the evenings and all night. We all have our feeders on 4 or 5 seconds and there is no corn being left on the ground. I love it.
I avoid Dick's and hope they fold.

that's excellent... the mesquite beans are all gone, and i don't know about the acorns in the creekbeds... i do know that the corn is being eaten at least - but like i say, they didn't hit the protein too much this year at all... the bulk of the rain fell during prime protein feeding time... hopefully, the rain will pay off...

He who throws the most corn wins. We are feeding 10 feeders and all of them are gapped at .50" to .75" and feeding for about 9 seconds. All the corn is being eaten. I have a feeling that we will have to top them off again on opening weekend. Good Luck to all!!!!
