Don't know if this has ever been asked here ..but I will anyways. Is there a Law or rule that allows you as a buyer to
inspect a Rifle or gun for 2 days before buying it.?

I'm gonna jump out on a limb here and say.....NO WAY....unless the seller just allows it but I can't imagine that happening. That's just asking for a ton of problems.

No law. You do have 72 after buying an automobile, though!

Inspection periods are done all the time, usually 3 to 5 days. Up to seller to offer it. See it on other forums and auction sites!
You did get the money FIRST though right?

If the stores closed up tomorrow, a man should have enough Ammunition, Bic lighters,Tabasco sauce, Whiskey, and freeze dried Coffee to last him and his family until the casket.

Yep, just owe for mileage/wear & tear. To OP, that's nice of you to do but not too wise if you 'shipped' the item, much less if he hasn't paid yet.

Hwy84, yes..still have his M.O. here. Supposed to be shipping my gun back this week . I ought to cash it and pay my FFL charges
when it comes in with that money and send him back the difference
for those 2 days of use. Might even let him wait a few xtra days also before sending it back. LOL...Thing is I trusted him when he
said the law allows him 2 days inspection, being new..I didn't
know any better. But yes...I still have his M.O. for $625.00 here
put up. I'm just waiting for my gun now. Live and learn.

I agree with you xcaliber. I would take my charges out and send back the rest IF the gun is in the same shape. If not, either hold out enough for damages and send the rest back or send the rifle back to him and tell him he bought it since there is no law about the 2 day inspection.

Good.....and a little costly (hopefully just a little) experience for you.

IF the gun comes back and is wiped clean of fingerprints, I think "ut oh" might be a good first phrase from you. rofl

Definitely keep any money you are out for fees and shipping the firearm from his money order and send the rest back if the firearm is in the same shape you sent it. Just my humble opinion. Or you could just have your FFL refuse the shipment and have it returned to him and keep the money order.
