What do you guys use to cut this stuff? Was cutting some with a jigsaw and it just melted back together after it cut. Finally got it to work but there has to be a better way. Didn't find a blade at home depot for just plexiglass.

Seems like years ago I used a circular saw with a paneling blade turned backwards

So assume The wider blade helps?

I do it all the time building blinds. Figure out your sizes(ball park) Then get some masking tape or painters tape and put it on both sides of the plexiglass. Use a sharpe to draw your lines on the tape. To cut it I use a jig saw with a metal blade. Do not try to cut too fast. The tape absorbs the heat or whatever but it will not melt back togeather. Good Luck and happy hunting.

I just use the cutter they make for it and break it like glass. You can also use a fine-tooth handsaw so it doesn't build up all of that heat.

I used a Drimmel tool with a cutting wheel when I was making blind windows. Worked great for me.

I have mine cut at local glass shop, and i watched as the guy cut it. He just scored it like glass but he did it a couple times , then broke it like glass.

Depends on the material. Plexiglas can be scored and broken like glass. Lexan on the other hand can't be, it will just bend and then come right back. Really thick Lexan (3/4" and up) is sometimes used for bullet proof glass. Either way, I cut both with a table saw with a fine tooth blade.

I would just go to lowes and they will cut the plexi to your specs for free.

Fine tooth (80) table saw blade will do the trick. I do it all the time for our blinds. I will post some pics or video. Painters tape will avoid splintering.

I have done it before with a jigsaw and a buddy with a bottle of water to help cool it off. The tape also helps keep it from splintering and cracking. Go slow and you will be fine.

That's what I do. Just bring in your measurements and have them cut. If you're like me, and your window openings all turn out "slightly different" bang, bring a grease pencil with you to mark each one as they cut it.
