 I need some help on a Colorado Elk Hunt

3 of us are planning on hunting elk in Colorado this year. Everything we are reading online is confusing us more than we already are.
We have a spot to stay just south of Del Norte, Colorado in the Rio Grande National Forest, but don't know how to go about getting out of state license's, do we have to put in for a draw in the area etc.
If anyone has any experience hunting Colorado please get with me if you don't mind.

You buy your bull tag over the counter or on-line. If you want to shoot a cow you will have to put in for a draw which I don't know if deadline has past yet or not.

You have to check which unit has over the counter tags. Not all of them do. You have to stay within the unit your tag is for.
