Over $100 an acre deer lease. I saw this in my lease report thinking this might be a first for lease pricing. It better be the nicest camp and full of giant deer for $12,000 a year for 116 acres. Anyone want the phone # to get on it? Maybe you only pay for the month you use it.
"116 acre year round deer lease, with hogs, quail, dove and turkeys, located in Maverick County, with camp, feeders with corn, food plots and blinds. 1-6 hunters at $1000 per month. Call for details."

I saw one advertised last year, in Mason Co. that was 250 acres. He wanted 7 guns, you feed year round, hunters could not come on the property except during deer season, ( you would have to pay the l/o to fill feeders the rest of the year), during deer season hunters could only be on the property on weekends. You could not bring a guest, spouse, kid etc., and the landowner reserved the Thanksgiving weekend for his family to hunt! He only wanted $1,000.00 per gun. LOL And he probably leased it!
I may not be able to afford to hunt much longer if this continues.

What does that mean? "I'll hunt on 5 acres so here's my $500". Or, is it just a different way of saying $10,000 lease on 100 acre?
Go easy on me. I'm from NJ

RJ - Its the total price of the lease divided by the total number of acres you're leasing. For instance on my lease, there aer 14 hunters leasing 8300acres for $2000 per gun. So $28000 / 8300acres is $3.37 an acre. $15 - $20 an acre is becoming common and the original poster found $100/acre. Crazy. I noticed you're from Aledo. Me too. Whereabouts?

That would be a bargain down there even though 116 acres is nothing down there.
No, $1,000 a month. It might be pay as you go so different groups could lease it depending on month. It just caught my eye as a little rediculous. But they can ask what they want. No one has to bite if they don't want to.
