My brother has invited me on a antelope hunting trip over my birthday. (you would think he would have paid for my license too, but no)
Anyway I am in a quandry. What rifle I should take with me? I have a 257 Weatherby SUB-MOA . A Ruger Hawkeye in 264 Win Mag. Or a Encore Prohunter in 25-06. Or my Winchester Model 70 in 300WSM.
Any thoughts out there?

At what distances do they "NORMALLY" have to shoot for a harvest where you are going?
257Wthby Mag will work fine, really any of the calibre's will.
Which is the most accurate that YOU shoot accurately at distance.
25/06 will do it too, 264 Win Mag & for sure 300WSM...
What kinda glass & power of scopes mounted.

Anywhere from 75 yds to over 300 last year.
Weatherby has a Nikon Monarch 4.5X 24 I believe Encore 25-06 has Nikon Prostaff 3X9X40 Ruger 264 has BSA 4X12X40 Winchester 300WSM has a Pentax 3X9X50

If we are talking pronghorns, they do not require a magnum of any kind to kill IMO. Any of the guns you named will do fine. Get you some shoooting sticks, practive with them and which ever gun you are most comfortable with use it.

257! Not the Pro-hunter because you might need another shot.

I'd go with the 257 wby.
It's great for those long distance shots, and lets face the facts.....you dont hunt Antelope in thick cover.

I would be partial to the .257 or the .264 simply because of the optics.

Either the .257 WeeBee or the .264 Win Mag.
I have used everything from a 6mm Rem to a .30-06 Sprg with nary any problems. Just got my 6.5-06AI back from the GS a few days ago, if that tells you what I like!

They are all new to me except the 300WSM. I was thinking along the lines of whatever I could shoot best also. I forsee quite a bit of range time for me. Just checking to see what knowledge is out there to help me out.

Any of those will do the trick. For me the question is which is more accurate. At longer disatance accuracy is paramount.

speed goats are probley the easiest thing to take down in north america, personally I would take a bow.
I have shot a ton with a 22-250. Last one was with a 25-06 encore.
