I am looking to come to the great state of Texas for a hog hunt. Does anybody have any suggestions on any public ground. I have been to Richland Creek wild life area once and had no success. However the yr we came down the whole area was completely flooded so it limited us quite a bit. I just know that Wild Hogs is one of our dreams to do. And we like the challenge of it. We cannot however afford to go on guided trips, or pay landowners for letting us hunt. I dont blame them tho. Its the way the world works now a days. If anybody has any suggestions on public areas with a good hog population where it could help us persue one of our dreams please let me know. Thanks Dave

Try RC again this year. We have been pretty dry. I have hunted there 3 times and seen hogs every time. The place is loaded with them. If you go, I can tell ya some spots to hunt.
OR, you can book a hunt with me. I only charge $75 for the whole weekend and can take up to 6 people. Got a group from Indiana coming down next weekend.

Sqiggy what knid of a wkend? could we book a hunt with you hunting a fri, sat, and sunday? There would be at least 3 of us. maybe 4. We have put in for antelope tags this yr but our drawing odds are less than 40% So if we do not draw we r going on a hog hunt. If we do draw then next yr we r hog hunting. So either way I need to get something worked out. The second time we came we went with a guy who ran dogs. That just didnt get me going. I love hounds, i am a die hard coon hunter here in Iowa. But I want to hunt hogs myself, or with a guide but I wanna b able to pick one and shoot it rather than having to kill whatever the dogs bay up. I would most definately be in for booking a hunt with you tho. Please let me know the details. thanks a bunch.
