What is everyone shooting for hunting arrows now days. I bought a new Hoyt CRX and tried the Easton Axis 400 N-FUSED CARBON's I like the way they feel and the diameter is small but I'm not grouping them very well. I have a feeling they are over spined.
I want to buy another dozen arrows and have them cut wondering any opinions.

How off are you on the poundage? While they may not tune well they really shouldn't change your groups substantially unless you are shooting 25lbs or something.
Now I have never shot what they consider pro grade .0001 straightness however I haven't seen a difference between a number of manufactures of higher level and the cheap cabelas carbon arrows.
Could it possible be a grip or anchor issue. Are these the only arrows you've ever tried or did you just recently change your set-up

It could possibly be anything. I do know I can take my Alpine Silverado and group like I'm used too shooting 5575's. I put a new sight on the Hoyt and couldn't get it to paper tune like I wanted with the N-Fused arrows. After a bunch of trying stuck a 5575 and it tuned perfectly through paper that is why I thought over spined. Then I associated that with the grouping.
The bow is new, new arrows oh and a new release. So yes drastically changed my set up.

5575's might be 340 spine. So with 400's you may be under spined depending on how long your arrows are and you bow set-up.

Easton Flatliners. I break a lot of them but I get better speeds and they tune better than any other arrow I have tried out of my bow

Gold Tip 5575 for the last 15 years. I've stuck a tree before and the arrow pulled out fine. We were competition shooting between friends. Kinda like playing Horse, only with a 3D target in the woods. Had to shoot through a Y in a tree 40 yards away. I missed the target.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

Gold tip 55/75 and 35/55 depending on poundage for over 10 years. Tough as nails and good quality at a reasonable price. Fletch you own shafts and you can get out with a dozen for under 60 bucks if you look for deals on shafts

Depending on the game that you're hunting I can highly suggest the Easton Flat line arrows. The hunter option. They are a great price... I think $74 or $75 a dozen, super fast, and deadly. Last year I used a 56lb bow with the Flatline 400's and had pass through on all deer sized game that I killed. Numerous of our customers had the same experience. Korbin http://www.korbinsarchery.com/
