i hunted with him many years ago. Hes on different property now. Go to www.texasbowhunter.com and do a search for his name. Lots of people with opinions about him there.

I'll simply state that from what I have read in the past. - Universally, the accomdations suck. - "It's as challenging of a hunt as you make it" is what some say. Changing subjects: If anyone is interested, I'll go to the auction and buy a ram fitting the description of what you want. You pay me cost of the animal + 20% and you can shoot it as I open the gate on the trailer.

It's all fun until you realize that "New Zealand Mountain Billie" your hunting is just a barnyard goat.
I'll do it for 5% if you let me prop a dead goat up against a tree and yell, "Quick, shoot him before he runs!!"

In a nutshell it SUCKS. It isn't a hunt or as some have put it, you can make it a hunt. It is basically a bunch of goats on a small place with a bunch of guys with bows and rifles, shooting at will. I have heard that "go climb that mountain, or shoot em out of the 15 yard pen blah blah" The place needs to be bulldozed to kill at least the mice and rats, roaches will survive, so they will go elsewhere. If your a bowhunter and one thinks this is a hunt, you are so sadly mistaken. It's a freakin joke is what it is. I wouldn't brag of shootin anything off this place, but quite a few do. Oh well
BTW, yeah I have been so I feel I am entitled to this opion. About the only ones who like this place are the guys from texasbowhunter and Kieth Warrens forum. Join the ranks if you like.

Well, now we're getting our popcorns worth. I don't mind easy hunts (harvest is a better word) but I don't do the 15 yard pen deal and don't believe in building hunters up to believe it's something that it's not.

I've been there twice with the latest trip last month. It's true the accommodations suck and the hunting(killing) is easy. Most of his animals are cross breeds or "type" animals such as mouflon "type" or big horn "type" and many of them will let you pet them. This place is by no means hunting or hard hunting, but I enjoy my time there getting away from work and hanging out with friends and if I so choose to shoot a goat/billy/ram etc. then so be it. I take it for what it is and don't sugar coat it.
Just a question for 7mag...what exactly do you mean about your comment concerning the guys from Texasbowhunter? That because I am a member of that forum as well that I am in some way less of a hunter than the guys on this forum? I bet you would still take money from a member of TBH if they wanted to hunt your place right?

Well, now we're getting our popcorns worth. : but I don't do the 15 yard pen deal and don't believe in building hunters up to believe it's something that it's not. there is a difference in shooting a oblivious wild animal and shooting one that got the the ranch via truck and trailer a month ago.
