Anyone tried the Mimic or the Echo? The Echos are hard to come by but the smaller Mimic is at Academy. How do they compare to other brands?

I read a review on the Echo, the guy has had it for a few months, and was real satisfied with the way it performed. He said the remote range was better than he expected, and the 100 plus sounds were enough for any predator in North America.

OK, so far so good. Called in some crows this morning out my kitchen window. One even landed on the roof! Had good volume for a small unit. More tests to come.

Didn't take very long to decide.

Read pretty good reviews on Midway about it, I liked the one at Academy for $40

I got the Mimic from Academy. I would have liked to have found the Echo but they are back ordered everywhere. Guess I should have phrased my question better ctownboy! I would prefer the Echo because it has more sounds, two speakers, and a remote. That being said, I was hoping to get feedback on both. As soon as they are available I'll add the Echo if it's performing well for current users.

im new to the predator and am just getting my feet wet. Right now i only have the mini phantom..and believe it or not it works. I have called in something I(fox or yotes) almost everytime i have been out.

So i beleive the Mimic works eventhough it isn't the almighty Foxpro smile

i had the mini phantom as well and i hated it... the mimic sounds much much better and has way more sounds... i went on a guided predator hunt not too long ago and they were using the Mimic.....

Tried it out for a while Sunday afternoon. I'm sure bigger units are louder but for it's size it reaches out. I had no takers as far as coyotes or bobcats are concerned but it's no surprise where I was. It's been dead for 2+ months now. Just going to give it one last go. Anyway, the hawks and owls were nuts for the bird sounds. I learned to not hold it in my hand when a hawk swooped in and almost hit me and the call. It was sitting on a log beside me, otherwise it would have nailed me. Pretty exciting and definitely shows the sounds are convincing. More updates as I try out better areas.
