Thank you sir and I appreciate it. Now I know and I am going to ask my buddy why he said that to me. I am sure he has some reason but just did not tell me. Thanks again for the information as I find actual links to information much more useful when shipping.
Shhhhhhhh better to be quiet than remove all doubt..

Guys, I had to step away for a few minutes, but it looks like you were able to occupy yourselves while I was away.
The tear and rehab comments are confusing, but like I always say..."if borne from the actions of consenting adults, who am I to judge"?
thank you all again for your helpful information.

haha, I can see how it would be confusing. That dieterich guy was trying to be a smartass, and posted a link to another thread about ligament tears and said something like "iliketohunt, your expertise is needed here also." So, I told him I actually could answer that question. Anyways, he deleted it I guess.

Anyone else have any expertise on this subject?...I do not want to "assume" it is OK to ship without using an FFL, then find out later I was wrong.

I shipped a long gun not long ago to another TFF member using the Post Office. All they asked me was "is it liquid, fragile, or perishable?". And I said no and went on my way.
