How long would it take for squirrels in my area to recognize the feeder I just put up? I put in a bunch of deer corn and dog food since I saw a few squirrel on my porch stealing the dog food out of the dog's bowls in the morning. Is there any way to speed up the process?

I'm putting one up because I want my nieces to see some birds/squirrels/and whatever would come up to it. Any advice is appreciated. I have enough squirrel pelts so I won't be shooting them and the meat isn't very tasty. cheers
