after 3 1/2 years of trapping, I have finally trapped my first, second, and third hogs in 4 days. number one and two went good for tying and transporting them alive... Number three today however faught like my ex wife and busted rope and zip ties 4 times and then with only one zip tie hold her front legs, made it all the way to the door of the pen while fighting like no tomorrow and almost as soon as the last tie was cut, she died... we faught her for 3 hours with no payoff. Is there anyone out there that can maybe shed some light on proper "hog tie" method and what the best rope is to use??? any help will be help being as i seem to have falling into this mess head first. Thank you.

They make hog hobbles. Its got two rings on each end of a strap. Just make a loop with the strap thru the rings and put it on the hogs leg and make sure u cross the legs. Ill see if I can find u a pic of a hog we got hobbled

Hobbles work good just criss cross, also mule tape works good if you can tie.As the summer gets near you will loose a few from stress. If getting out of trap make a hog getter to simplify and less stress.
