Last year someone made a post with a video of the deer. Truly a GIANT. I work for Sabre at the property identified. The afternoon of that post... Driving out of work at 5p.... Saw 3-4 deer. Nothing special.... Looked to the back of the clearing and out stepped the GIANT! He is there and a magnificent animal! And the previous poster is correct... Security is all over this.

Thanks a lot for sharing, very interesting! I would like to see that video post of the deer. I know I will never drive by that area again without keeping my eyes open for a big buck and my camera with me.

That's a super nice buck in the video and looks a lot like the same deer I seen. That fence looks like the same fence that was around the pasture I seen the deer in. This video was dated for Feb. 2nd 2010.
The buck in the video looks very similar to the buck I saw and it could be the same deer with last years rack. If that is the same buck, he is quite a bit taller, a little heavier and just as wide this year! Either way it's a beautiful deer!

I took my wife and 4 yo daughter down there for some deer watching since they never seem to see deer with me in the stand. Several young bucks were out tonight, a really wide 6. Great experience for my daughter seeing "Bambi".

That's funny. I drove by there Sunday evening on my way home and saw a family with their camera set up on a tripod waiting for the deer to come out. I just thought the Southlake buck had become a tourist attraction.

that was us, I haven't seen anyone else there and that's the only time I will go. it was worth it though to show the girls and get a quick video. nothing "trophy" there deserving much attention unless you just want to see a deer like us. honestly I just expected to see does as that's what was out night before as I drove by at 70 mph.

I'll stop there in the evening on the way home and watch them every once in a while. Sometimes there will be a truck already parked there watching. Don't see them as regularly this year as I did last.

There was a good sized one run over on the offramp there one night I think about a week before Christmas.

Last yr I saw a monster crossing the hwy 380 going west out of Jacksborro, just before the feed store. A big perfect 10 wide & tall. I know he hangs around town, stays safe & brobably is a big 12 so it is no surprize to me.

Thats only 80 miles, might even be the same deer
