I have a Bitzenberger jig with a right helical and i fletched some arrows with damaged fletchings and after a few shots, the fletchings started flying off. I tried and tried and read all instructions but couldnt get it to work. any thoughts? i will say up front, the shafts are clean.

What kind of glue are you using?
I've used super glue gel for years and I don't ever have a problem...just make sure it's the gel not the regular glue.

Carbon or aluminum? For carbon you need the Fletch-tite Platinum.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

passthru is corect. Regular fletch tite cement (and many other types of glue) will not hold very well on carbon arrows. Platimum works well, but arrow shafts need to be cleaned really well, and I use scotchbrite to rough them up a little.

I am actually using feathers most of the time so I use fletching tape and then put a dab of Platinum at both ends of the feather.

With plastic vanes, I only use Platinum
