I want to go on a goose hunt next year in Texas, who would be a good outfitter to go with?

My only experience has been with Long Neck Outfitters, Scott Curtsinger.

Our 1st hunt sucked, he had us with a guide that didn't know what he was doing.

Our second hunt was stellar, 5 man limit of cranes, and 2 man limit of canadas. He put us with 'dusty' his top guide.

I think JJ and Jeff might know 'who's the best' in texas.

depends on where you want to go and what you want. Crane goose combos are awesome in the panhandle. If you want canadas the outfitters mentioned north of Abilene are good and are closer to temple. If you want snows and specks head to the coast.

I never met a so called guide that couldnt kill Canadas.....

I would stay west and target the canada geese.

Snow goose hunting can have its rewards, but in my opinion it is too hit and miss to book a trip.

I have also heard good things about ranger creek. Stanfield Outfitters and Webfoot Connections both have pretty good reputations as well.

No kidding, and the guide had the balls to tell me it was his first goose hunt of the season this was in december....not a guide at all.

Ranger Creek is the only one that I would use. Hunted with them 2 years in a row with limits every time.

Crooked Wing Outfitters in Lubbock. Evan will do his best to put you on the geese.

For strickly geese-stanfield all the way, ask for brian hall. I hunted with brian for the 1st time this year and I was impressed.

+1 for Ranger Creek. Justin is a good guy. Always shot out limit in geese with him. Can't remember the other guys names but they all seem like good people.
