Laserlyte is pretty good.
I carry a gun because I'm too young to die, and too old to take a whoopin!

Just a good old style boresighter with arbors still works best. Bushnell, Simmons, Tasco they all work the same and will get you on paper better than anything else.

You can always remove the bolt, put an X on the wall, look through the barrel and adjust from there. It actually works

cheapo, pull your bolt, look down the bore, look thru your scope and go from there, or the 2 shot method, take a shot, move crosshairs to that shot, then aim for bullseye, it works...and the Laserlyte for about $50 will get u very close.

I sight all my muzzleloaders by pulling the breech plug and sighting thru the bore.. on paper everytime. Cheaper than a bore sighter.

A bore sighter is the biggest waste of money in the hunting world.

I have a Bushnell with the arbor. It won't get me on paper at 25 yards. I prefer to pull the bolt and look down the barrel. No idea how you would do that on a lever action or semi auto.

A bore sighter is the biggest waste of money in the hunting world. I disagree. Mine has paid for its self many times over in the form of not wasting ammo while trying to zero it in.

JCB, I even sent mine back to Bushnell. It still won't do as well as boresighting.

I have one its in the attic and only gets used a few times a year. If you would like to use it I can probably get it to Scurry thru a THF express.
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

I agree that with a bolt gun the easiest & cheapest method is to pull the bolt and look through the barrel, but if you really want a boresight then the Leupold zero point is the way to go. After your gun is zeroed you put this thing back on the barrel, read where it puts your center crosshairs, mark them on the supplied card and you can always recheck your zero without firing a shot. I don't know how this magnetic thing works but absolutely every time you put it on the barrel it will read exaclty the same spot, even if you move it up & down. Definately worth the $70 bucks I paid.
